Outcomes

Confidently promote student reflection and develop outcomes-based activities that contain explicit quality criteria that facilitate assessment of student learning in hands-on science investigations.

You will achieve this through a focus on:

  • supporting students to reflect and conduct peer and self-evaluation

  • applying assessment rubrics such as those produced by Young Scientist to support evaluation of research projects.

In level 1 ‘Evaluating and Assessing’ there was a focus on providing learning activities that support the teacher to observe and record student achievements when investigating scientifically and to enable students to demonstrate reflection of their investigative processes.
